YouTube Shorts gets a tool to add a video generated by AI to your messages
It is about to become easier to add a video generated by AI to your short messages. YouTube has announced that shorts will integrate Veo 2 – Google Deepmind’s latest video mode – which will allow users to generate and add AI clips to their videos.
The new feature will be part of the dream screen of shorts, which already allows users to add backgrounds generated by AI to their publications.
Wrote YouTube In A blog article Announce the news: “Need a specific scene but do not have the right sequences? You want to transform your imagination into reality and tell a unique story? Simply use a text prompt to generate a video clip that fits perfectly in Your story, or create a whole new world of content.
YouTube said in the blog post that Veo 2 “better understands the physics of the real world and human movement”, which should lead to more detailed and precise results. Users should also be able to create an AI video that corresponds to a “style, a” specific “cinematographic effect.

The blog article includes an example (pretty cheesy) of how creators could use the tool – a video in which the dog of a guy grows at the size of the monster.
It is both neat and a little worrying that the video is so easy to create. YouTube noted that the creations generated by the AIa present the two Synthetic Filigranes and clear labels. Hopefully this will facilitate the confusion of viewers.
For the moment, AI’s new feature has been launched for users in the United States, Canada, Australia and New Zealand.
