Xiaomi to preinstall the phonepe app for smartphones sold in India
Chinese smartphones manufacturer Xiaomi said Thursday that his Android smartphones sold in India will be preinstalled with the Indian Fintech Phonepe’s company App Store.
Xiaomi’s Android smartphones are generally preinstalled with the Google Play Store store and the Chinese company’s own getapps. Xiaomi said he had signed a multi -year agreement with Phonepe to replace Getapps with the latter’s industrial application. This confirms Techcrunch reports last year concerning the partnership.
The Google Play Store will always be preinstalled on Xiaomi devices. Companies have not specified whether the AppStore of the Indus would also be deployed on existing Xiaomi devices which have already been sold or are currently available for purchase from retailers. They also did not mention when it comes into force.
