In a research note published today through the investment company GF Securities, Pu presented a graphic confirming that the iPhone 17, the iPhone 17 Air, the iPhone 17 Pro and the iPhone 17 Pro Max will all include this upgraded camera.
On the other hand, the previous iPhone 16 models were equipped with a 12 -megapixel front camera. Another analyst, Ming-Chi Kuo, also said that at least a variant of the iPhone 17 will include a 24-megapixel front camera, which indicates that this improvement has been corroborated by several sources.
Kuo noted that this upgrade “would considerably improve image quality”. The higher 24-megapixel resolution allows better quality retention in the photos, even when it is cropped, thus offering greater flexibility during post-processing.
PU also reiterated other rumors concerning the iPhone 17, including a 12 GB increase of RAM and a 48 megapixel telephoto lens for Pro and Pro Max models.
It provides that the A19 and A19 PRO chips will use the advanced third generation 3NM of TSMC, called N3P. The launch of the four iPhone 17 models is expected in September. The air of the iPhone 17 should be Apple’s thinnest phone to date, probably replacing the variant Plus.
