Samsung Galaxy Ring Patent Insignia on peripheral control features for future models

A recently discovered patent by Samsung gives an overview of potential interactions with devices via smart rings. Traditionally, an intelligent ring is mainly used by a discreet health monitoring tool that merges style with technology. However, the next Galaxy ring can also operate as an input device to control other gadgets.

The leader in South Korean technology has submitted a patent to the WIPO which illustrates an intelligent ring capable of managing various devices. Currently, Samsung has published only one intelligent ring, with reports indicating that the Galaxy Ring 2 is in development.

The original galaxy ring is designed to monitor heart rate, sleep habits and other biometric data, transmitting this information to a connected smartphone via the Samsung Health application.

This offers an effective method for monitoring health, particularly attractive for those who prefer not to wear a smartwatch.

However, the patent suggests that Samsung could soon improve this functionality. The patent documentation and the accompanying illustrations represent a user of the intelligent interacting wireless ring with other connected devices.

It seems that the future Galaxy ring will facilitate communication between several devices, such as illustrated by sketches with a laptop and a tablet. The patented intelligent ring seems capable of transferring content from one screen to another, similar to Apple’s interconnected ecosystem.

While Samsung’s S pen has provided similar capacities, the Galaxy Ring seems ready to offer a more integrated experience, thanks to its user -friendly design.

It remains uncertain if the company actively develops this product or simply explores the possibilities, but this development seems to represent an important progression in the evolution of the ring of the galaxy.
