Intel appoints lip-dub as a following CEO
Intel has named the lip TanA major figure in the semiconductor industry, such as the CEO, the company announced on Wednesday.
Tan succeeds acting CO-PDG David Zinsner and Michelle Johnston Holthaus. He will also join the Board of Directors of Intel after leaving the board of directors in August 2024, said Intel. Zinsner will remain the financial director of Intel, while Johnston Holthaus will remain CEO of the Company Intel Products division.
Tan, a technological investor born at the origin of Malaysia, was previously CEO of Cadence Design Systems. He was director of two energy companies, Eds Nuclear and Echo Energy, and partner of the Walden USA Investment Fund before founding the venture capital company Walden International in 1987.
Tan is exceptionally well connected in the technology industry and a director of the board of directors of Hewlett Packard Enterprise, Schneider Electric and SoftBank. It is also widely respected as a business manager. After Intel announced the appointment of Tan, the company’s shares jumped approximately 11% in trade after working hours.
In a declarationTan said that Intel will be a “engineering focused company” under its management.
“We will push ourselves to develop the best products, listen carefully to our customers and keep ourselves responsible for the commitments we make in order to build confidence,” he said. “We are also responsible for delivering for our shareholders – something on which I also focus and that you are waiting for will be the result of our renewed accent on customers.”
