GPT-5 Roadmap Unveiled: Sam Altman confirms unlimited access for free users
The CEO of Openai recently revealed that the next GPT-5, with the O3 reasoning model, will be available free of charge for all users. In an article on X (formerly Twitter), Altman described a roadmap for the next Openai models, including GPT-4.5 and GPT-5.
He recognized that even if the company has a lot to offer, the previous launches have been somewhat complex. Consequently, he announced that Optai would return to a unified model approach, integrating the O3 model into its flagship offers and interrupting the O -autonomous models.
Although the roadmap has not specified an exact release date for GPT-5, it strongly indicates that the launch is imminent. The release of GPT-5 has already been postponed, while the last flagship model was introduced in March 2023.

Technically, GPT-5 should have been available now, but it seems that the launch will occur during this year.
In his article, Altman has confirmed that the next GPT-5 will be accessible to all users for free. Indeed, the new flagship model of Openai is defined to provide unlimited access to free users, although there are additional features for paid subscribers.
He said: “The free chatgpt level will receive unlimited chat access to GPT-5 as part of standard intelligence, subject to abuse thresholds.”
In addition, subscribers will have the possibility of using GPT-5 to a higher level of intelligence, while pro subscribers will access an even more advanced intelligence parameter, he added. These models will include features such as vocal interaction, canvas, research capacities, in -depth research, etc.
In -depth research will also be available for free users, but with limits. OPENAI recently introduced Deep Research, an AI agent designed to carry out full searches for users.

Propelled by the O3 model, it is the second AI agent of the company aimed at reducing the workload of users by carrying out in -depth research independently in a few minutes. After its launch for Chatgpt Pro users, CEO SAM Altman announced its intention to initially extend this model to more and free users, although it is delivered with certain restrictions.
