Google launches new features related to health care for research, Android
Google announced on Tuesday new products and features intended for the use of health care, including improved previews in Google research for health requests, medical record APIs and new “open” IA models focused on health.
In research, Google says that it uses AI and classification systems to extend “knowledge panels” responses to thousands of health -related subjects and add support for healthcare queries in Spanish, Portuguese and Japanese on mobile. Research has already provided answers to the knowledge panel for conditions such as flu or cold, but the update considerably extends the number of subjects that knowledge panels cover, the company said.
Google also launches a research functionality which he calls “what people suggest” on mobile in the United States to highlight the content of users with shared experiments relating to health conditions. For example, if someone asks questions about common exercises for people with arthritis, what people suggest will bring together reports from various web forums using AI.

Google also launched new APIs of medical records on Tuesday for its Health Connect platform for Android devices. These will help collect data from medical suppliers and allow users to see this data on different applications, as well as facilitate access to information on devices such as phones, said Google.
“These APIs allow applications to read and write information on medical records such as allergies, medicines, vaccinations and laboratory results in standard Fir Format,” said Desalvo in the blog post. “With these additions, Health Connect supports more than 50 types of data through activity, sleep, nutrition, vital signs and now medical files – which facilitates the connection of your daily health data with your doctor’s office data.”
