Apple’s intelligent house center faces a setback in the middle of Siri development delays
Apple delayed the introduction of its Smart Home Hub planned due to setbacks with Siri’s features, as Mark Gurman from Bloomberg reported. Gurman no longer anticipated the release of Home Hub this month and has not provided an updated calendar for its launch.

“At one point, the company had hoped to announce this product in March,” he noted in its power on the bulletin today. “However, since the device depends in part on Siri’s features delayed, its launch has also been postponed.” In the meantime, he mentioned that Apple began to allow employees of certain employees to test a pre-liberation version of the aircraft in their homes.
This announcement follows the recent Apple declaration indicating that an additional time is necessary to finalize the more personalized version of Siri, which was previewed at WWDC 2024 last June. Siri improvements planned will be supplied by Apple Intelligence, requiring an iPhone 15 Pro or a new model.
“We have also worked on a more personalized SIRI, improving its awareness of your personal context and allowing it to carry out actions on your applications,” said Apple in a shared communication with John Gruber of Daring Fireball. “We will take more time than originally planned to offer these features, and we plan to deploy them during the coming year.”
Gurman said that Apple initially intended to launch the most personalized SIRI as part of iOS 18.4, which is currently in beta version and does not include any of the promised features. He later mentioned that these features were postponed to iOS 18.5 in May, but the recent Apple declaration implies that deployment will take even more time. The most personalized SIRI should make its debut between iOS 19 in September 2025 and iOS 19.4 in March 2026.

Whenever they are released, Siri improvements will encompass an understanding of the personal context of a user, consciousness on the screen and more complete controls for individual applications.
For example, during its Keynote WWDC 2024, Apple has demonstrated an iPhone user wondering about the flight and lunch books of their mother, using information from mail and messages.
