Amtrak’s reworked application facilitates the search for your train status
Amtrak reorganizes its mobile application to include more useful features, such as facilitating the search for calendar changes and monitoring the progress of your train from one station to another. The changes are involved as Amtrak campaigns to attract customers and encourage them to travel by train instead of cars and planes.
The AMTRAK application has already helped the riders to plan their driving, to buy tickets, to display the stretches, to manage the AMTRAK rewards, etc. Now, the new application displays the train condition and the schedule changes directly on the booking screen (within 24 hours of the trip), so it is easier to find. Covers in Business class like Acela (or other seated trains allocated) can also use the application to choose the favorite seats during the reservation process.
Based on customer comments, Amtrak has also updated the home screen to separate tickets from marketing information and messages. And its new My Trips tab offers easier visualization of active travel and allows you to jump to those to come or past. Finally, you can modify part of your trip via the application, facilitating travel adjustments “while keeping the best rates available”.
