Byd announces the technology load twice as fast as Tesla
The manufacturer of Chinese electric vehicles Byd has revealed new fast charging technology which can add 400 km (249 miles) of five minutes. With the announcement, byd has also promised to make a major investment in billing infrastructure, building more than 4,000 of the new fast chargers across China.
The “Super E-Plateform” technology is capable of loading at cutting speeds of 1,000 kW, double the fastest Tesla V4 Superchargerswhich will reach a culmination at 500 kW when they deploy this year. Faster loading technology is initially available in two new vehicles, the Han L Sedan and Tang L SUV, which start at 270,000 yuan (around $ 37,330).
“In order to fully resolve the load anxiety of our users, we have pursued a goal of making charging time as short as short as the supply time for petrol vehicles,” said BYD founder Wang Chuanfu from a Shenzhen launch event. “This is the first time in industry that the Megawatt unit has been made of charge power.”
Byd is also committed to building more than 4,000 ultra-fast chargers across China using the new platform, but has not specified a delay for this project. It is a notable decision, since Reuters reports That most owners of BYD in China count on the chargers of other manufacturers to keep their cars completed.
It is not the only movement of the titles of byd. Earlier this month, he launched a Dront launcher mounted on the rooftop Compatible with all its cars, designed in collaboration with DJI, which allows drones to take off and land up to 25 km / h. The company fills the gap on Tesla, having sold 1.76 million cars in 2024Just behind 1.79 million Tesla, although 90% of these sales were in China and are led by its hybrid vehicles.
