Will.i.am’s fyi.ai reveals the AI characters in Sxsw
In SXSW 2025,, Will.i.am blurred Fyi.ai Like the future of messaging powered by AI.
As part of this AI future, Will.i.am demonstrated the characters of the AI of his Fyi.ai Qualcomm’s SXSW panel application, “AI is the new user interface,“Tuesday. For those unknown, Fyi.ai is a productivity application fueled by AI for iOS and Android, designed for creators. It helps to organize projects, manage calendars, summarize group cats, make calls, send messages, etc. -Essentially an all-in-one digital assistant intended to replace all your other applications.
AI characters are part of Raidio.fyia new Fyi.ai Characteristic which simulates a traditional radio experience with organized content and conversational AI. Think of Spotify DJ, but with the possibility of chatting with AI.

During the panel, Will.i.am introduced a character of AI named “sink with vibrations”, intended to embody a young black woman. Rather than a thoughtful representation, it seemed too scripted, lines dropping like: “You know that I have to keep real things with you, always bringing this authenticity” and “Chaaa, what about money!”

Qualcomm and Will.i.am clearly want to push the limits of AI personalization. The idea of AI that adapts to culture rather than imposing a single corporate approach is intriguing.
