Bluesky now allows users download videos that last up to 3 minutes
Bluesky now authorizes videos for up to 3 minutes, the decentralized social network announcement Monday. The platform has launched the management of the video in September with 60 seconds.
With the new expanded deadline, Bluesky Bring its user experience more in line with its competitors, X (formerly Twitter) and Meta threads. X allows non -paying users to download videos for up to two minutes and 20 seconds, while threads allow video users for up to five minutes.

The developers behind these applications strive to provide a video experience in Bluesky, either via a bluesky video client first, or as an entirely new application built on the same in the protocol that Bluesky uses. The expanded time allows them to offer a Tiktok alternative which aligns more closely with the popular short video application, which allows users to share videos for up to 10 minutes.
Bluesky also announced that he added a new “cat requests” screen that allows people to scrutinize unknown user messages. Once users receive a DM request, they can choose to accept or reject the conversation via this new screen.
