The Bitcoin strategic reserve is finally real
The United States has become seriously about Bitcoin-but perhaps not as serious as some hoped for it.
Thursday, President Trump signed an executive decree to establish a Bitcoin strategic reserve and a stock of American digital assets.
Essentially, this means that the American government is now dealing with Bitcoin as a reserve asset, similar to gold. However, this does not mean that the government will buy Bitcoin. The announcement of the White House: “The Bitcoin Strategic Reserve will be capitalized with Bitcoin belonging to the Ministry of the Treasury which was confiscated within the framework of the confiscation of criminal or civil assets.”
“The United States will not sell Bitcoin filed in this Bitcoin Strategic Reserve, which will be maintained as a reserve asset reserve,” said the text text.

The order also stipulates that “the secretaries of the Treasury and the Commerce are authorized to develop neutral strategies for the acquisition of additional bitcoin, provided that these strategies impose any additional cost on American taxpayers”. We do not know what these strategies will be, but at least it leaves a little hope for the Bitcoin bulls that the United States will acquire an additional bitcoin in the future.
The other part of the order talks about the stock of the American digital asset, which consists of “digital assets other than bitcoin belonging to the Ministry of the Treasury which was confiscated in the procedure for the confiscation of criminal or civil assets”.
For these, however, it is clearly indicated that “the government does not acquire additional assets for the storage of American digital assets beyond those obtained by confiscation procedure”.

The price of bitcoin increasing mainly since the creation of digital assets 15 years ago, the United States government. I missed easy gains by selling some of the bitcoins he has acquired by various means – according to the White House, “premature sales of Bitcoin have already cost us more than $ 17 billion.”
