Broadcom, TSMC would have explored offers that would divide Intel

Broadcom and Taiwan Semiconductor Manufacturing Company (TSMC) explore separately A report in the Wall Street Journal.

Broadcom will envisage an acquisition of Intel design and marketing activity, and would like a partner for the company’s manufacturing company, while TSMC would seek to control a part or all of the Intel Puce factories , potentially within the framework of an investor consortium.

All the discussions were preliminary, said the newspaper, without subject to Intel. Apparently, TSMC explores an agreement to the encouragement of the administration of President Donald Trump, although a White House manager declared that the administration was unlikely to support an arrangement which put a foreign entity in control of Intel factories.
