Nothing of 3A Series confirmed to operate on Snapdragon with AI speed improvements

The Nothing Phone 3A series is expected to be launched on March 4. In anticipation of this event, the company has disclosed important details concerning the next smartphones.

Carl Pei, the CEO of Nothing, announced that the devices will include a Snapdragon chipset, marking a change compared to the previous series of 2A phone, which used the Dimensity Mediatek processors.

The brand has pointed out that the new series will include substantial upgrades of both CPU and the Neuronal Treatment Unit (NPU), improving the capacities of artificial intelligence (AI) on devices.

In an update of the community, Pei expressed his satisfaction with the decision to return to the Snapdragon series of Qualcomm for the phone (3A).

Although specific details on the mobile platform are not disclosed, he said that the CPU would be 25% faster and that the NPU would see a 72% increase in speed compared to the phone 2A Plus.

Previous reports suggest that the Nothing 3a phone can be fueled by the Snapdragon 7S Gen 3 chipset. It should also include a complete 6.8 -inch AMOLED screen with a 120 Hz cooling rate and will probably work on nothing 3.1, based On Android 15, while keeping the glyph interface.

In addition, there are rumors that the telephone 3A will include an additional button on the right side of the device, potentially designated for the camera. Other speculations propose that this button could serve as a action button for AI functions or even have a multi-cuff-up capacity.
