The CEO of Openai, Sam Altman, predicts that AI will soon correspond to software engineers at the start of his career

The CEO of Openai, Sam Altman, launched the deployment of AI agents, which he ultimately envisaged virtual collaborators for humans. He said that these AI agents should undertake many tasks currently carried out by software engineers with several years of experience.

This ambitious vision was articulated in a recent blog article where Altman has examined the rapid progress of artificial intelligence and its ability to revolutionize various industries.

Altman cited the example of a software engineering agent capable of performing tasks generally assigned to engineers from leading companies.

However, he stressed that if these AI agents could make assignments in a few days, they would not generate innovative ideas independently and would require human surveillance.

For the future, Altman is considering a future where AI agents are used in various areas of knowledge work. He pointed out: “Now imagine 1,000 of them or 1 million of them”, stressing the in -depth scale to which these agents could operate.

He compared the economic influence of AI to that of the transistor, which transformed industries but has become so integrated into daily life that his presence often goes unnoticed.

Altman’s remarks appear at a pivotal moment as the general artificial intelligence (AG) is approaching the realization. He postulates that AGA could take up complex challenges at a human level in various sectors, promoting economic growth and allowing individuals to succeed both in their personal and professional efforts.

He also said that during the next decade, each person could potentially accomplish more than the most influential people today.

In addition, Altman has raised concerns concerning the balance of power between capital and labor, which suggests that proactive measures may be necessary to avoid inequalities.

He proposed the concept of providing individuals with better access to AI resources, although he recognized that this idea could seem unconventional.
