The Chinese display manufacturer has trouble meeting Apple’s quality requirements for AMOLED LTPS screens designated for iPhone 14, 15 and 16 models. Since the beginning of 2024, Boe has only delivered 7 to 7 to 8 million panels in Apple, a significant deficit against around 40 million units ordered.
The resolution of these quality problems should take at least six weeks. In the meantime, industry experts indicate that the Samsung display is likely to receive the major part of all redirected orders, since the production capacity of LG Display is mainly dedicated to AMOLED LTPO screens for models iPhone “pro”.
This situation marks another challenge in Boe’s troubled history with the production of iPhone OLED. The company was faced with similar difficulties in 2023, struggling with problems of light leak around the dynamic cutting of the island for the screens of the iPhone 15, which led to a considerably reduction of its orders.
Apple should announce the iPhone SE 4 this week, with several notable functional conceptions and improvements. Among these updates is the planned introduction from Face ID and the deletion of the home button, giving the device a design before similar to that of the iPhone 14.
Recently, the case manufacturer Spigen has published telephone renderings in parallel with its case, which line up with previous design forecasts.

Unlike the iPhone SE 2022, the new model has a completely flat design, and in more in -depth inspection, the screen seems to have considerably thinner glasses.
The size of the display should be 6.1 inch, a significant increase compared to the 4.7 inch of SE 2022. With regard to color options, the new model should be available in several new shades in addition to Classic black, white and red.
