The Samsung Galaxy S26 series can present Exynos SOC; Here is why
Samsung recently introduced its Galaxy S25 series with the latest Elite Snapdragon 8 processors from Qualcomm in all markets. This marks a significant change compared to the Galaxy S24 series, which used Samsung’s own Exynos 2400 SOC for all models, with the exception of the ultra galaxy S24. However, reports suggest that Samsung can return to its Exynos chips for the next Galaxy S26 series.

A report of the Korean publication The Bell indicates that Samsung Electronics was a notable success with the performance of its Exynos 2600 SOC.
The current yield of the Exynos 2600 SOC is 30%, exceeding that of the Exynos 2500 SOC, which has never been launched.
Although a 30% yield is an important step, a similar report emerged last year concerning exynos 2500 SOC, but ultimately Samsung could not incorporate it in the Galaxy S25 series, opting rather for Qualcomm’s chipset.
The source also notes that the chip division aims to produce mass in the fourth quarter of this year, subject to the realization of a yield of 60% for its chipset 2 nm. As a general rule, a yield of 60% is necessary before a chipset can carry out mass production.
In addition, the report specifies that the incapacity of Samsung Electronics to reach a higher yield was the main reason for the decision to use the Qualcomm chipset in the Galaxy S25 series. Last year, Samsung went to its own Exynos 2400 SOC for the Galaxy S24 and Galaxy S24 Plus models.

According to the latest information, the Galaxy S26 series is expected to be unveiled at the same time as the Galaxy S25 series has been announced this year. Among the planned improvements, Samsung is expected to introduce new silicon carbon batteries, improve camera technology and an under-pacient camera for the Galaxy S26 Ultra model.
